Thanks raywaldo, Meghd00t and todd3835 Step 1:
Step 2:
Now, you have yourself a Complete Factory Version of Nook; Please Note that THIS will WIPE everything. That means you will have a Brand New Nook just like when you first bought it from BN. A clean and EMPTY NOOK! This will erase ROOT, Your Personal Information and Data. Thanks to raywaldo, Meghd00t and todd3835. If i help you out PLEASE dont forget to hit THANKS. Good Luck, Aspi PS: PM me if you are having any issues with my instructions here. Update; If you have followed every steps from above instruction and still getting "please contact nook support" then you have "erased" factory partition table which means that now your device doesn't have any "build history" associated with it, like serial number, build info and so on. That means that factory ROM will not be able to run without getting that information from your device so your best choice is to call BN or go to BN and get a warranty or replacement service. |

Good clear instructions, I like it.
The image will work fine to restore both 8GB and 16GB units, so you can clarify that in the title. You don't really need to sdformat the sdcard before since the image contains a partition table with 2 partitions already, however you will need that sdformat tool to clear the 2 partitions and reuse the card. |

Exchange Information Store is stopped, Event ID 4001 in Eventviewer

I have solved the issue but I am going to put the answer to your questions here in case anyone else has similiar symptoms.
I had run all these before and they all passed except when I ran the DCDiag /S:apr-tst-dc1 /Test
NS
/DNSRecordRegistration. If I ran that test on the domain controller,
it would pass. If I ran it on the Exchange server, it would fail. Even
after I fixed the 4001 Error, that behaviour still continues.
Anyway the solution was to update the drivers to the
most current version and then turn off "Offload Checksum" option on the
NIC. Once I did this, all my AD Replication errors and Exchange Errors
went away.

HI,
below article nicely describe about offload Checksumming,I have quote below statements from there.
below article nicely describe about offload Checksumming,I have quote below statements from there.
Quote When
data comes in through a network, it's "checksummed," meaning the data
is checked against a checksum (or validation code) in the headers in the
packets it was delivered in. If the data and checksum don't match, the
packet is determined to be bad and has to be retransmitted.
To speed things up, some network cards can "offload" the checksumming, i.e., perform the checksumming on the network card itself, rather than leave the job to the CPU. This frees up the CPU to do that much more work on its own and on a server with extremely high network throughput, that much CPU savings can add up.

To disable checksum offloading:
1. Open the Registry and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters.
2. Add a new DWORD value named DisableTaskOffload and set it to 1.
3. You may need to restart the system to make these changes take effect.
Note:-Please take the backup of registry before do changes.

To work around this issue, assign the Exchange Servers group the right to change permissions against msExchActiveSyncDevices objects. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start Active Directory Users and Computers.
- Click View, and then click to enable Advanced Features.
- Right-click the object where you want to change the Exchange Server permissions, and then click Properties.
I did this on the select users that needed access to ActiveSync and it worked. I tried it first on the Domain and it appears to not have worked and inheritance is enabled?!?
Note You can change permissions against a user, an organizational unit, or a domain. - On the Security tab, click Advanced.
- Click Add, type Exchange Servers, and then click OK.
- In the Apply to box, click Descendant msExchActiveSyncDevices objects. Don't worry about the 'Descendant' part, just use msExchActiveSyncDevices
- Under Permissions, click to enable Modify Permissions.
- Click OK three times.

Explorer crashing on clicking Printer Preferences
I have found out a solution that worked for me. I tried a printer
driver cleaner, and that didn't work, but these instructions worked:
http://techrepublic.com.com/5208-623...170654&start=0
I'll paste in the 3rd party text also in case it gets deleted on the other site:
"The following steps will wipe printer and printer drivers from the computer:
A. Removing entries from Add/Remove programs.
B. Removing entries from Printers and Faxes folder.
C. Removing entries from Registry.
D. Removing folders from C:\Windows
A. Add/Remove Programs:
=======================
1. Click Start, Control Panel and double-click Add/Remove Programs.
2. If there is an entry relating to one of the printers, select it, then click Change/Remove.
3. Follow the dialog and "uninstall all" or "remove all" as appropriate.
Some "printer software" have programs that show up here and it will be a good idea to remove those before going any further.
B. Printers Folder:
===================
1. Click Start, Control Panel and double-click Printers and Faxes.
2. Delete all the Printers available, by right-click and selecting "delete" option.
3. Click File menu and select Server Properties.
4. Select the Drivers tab.
5. For each entry, select the entry and click Remove.
C. Windows Registry:
====================
Before modifying registry, take a backup of it.
1. Click Start and click on Run.
2. Type Regedit and from File menu, click on Export Registry.
3. Select "All" option for backing up every key of registry.
4. Give a destination file (say Regbackup) and save it on to the Desktop.
5. Now, click "+" beside HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM
6. Click "+" beside CurrentControlSet
7. Click "+" beside Control
8. Click "+" beside Print
9. Click "+" beside Environments
10. Click "+" beside Windows NT x86
11. Click "+" beside Drivers
12. Under this key, there will be the keys Version-2 and Version-3 (some may be absent, which is normal)
13. Click on each Version key to find contents in the right-window pane.
14. Delete all the sub-keys inside Version-2 and Version-3, but not these keys themselves.
15. From File menu, click exit.
D. Deleting Folders:
====================
1. Click Start, Run and type "cmd" (without quotes).
2. Key-in the following commands:
net stop spooler
net start spooler
3. Type exit.
4. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
%systemroot%\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86
NOTE: %systemroot% is usually C:\Windows, but it might be "winnt" or something else; this is set when the OS is installed.
5. Inside w32x86, there will be folders with the names 2 and 3 (some may be absent, which is normal)
6. Delete all of the files and sub-folders in each of the 2 and 3 folders, but not the folders themselves.
7. Inside w32x86, there may be other folders with names starting with "hewlett_packard", "hphp" or something else; delete these folders also.
8. Restart the print spooler (as in 2nd step, above)
9. Restart the computer.
At this point, the system should be pretty well back to the way it was before any printers were installed. The printing subsystem is then "clean" and ready for printers to be added using printer drivers. Install the all-in-one software, now."
Thanks!

I opened regedit as admin and gave 'all' 'full' permissions tothe key listed. then restarted 'print spooler' service' and was able to set printer to default and use it in Adobe to print.
