Just to summarize what did it for me on an SBS 2008:
* Set the SBS as DNS Server and Gateway on the local client
* Adding connect and sbsconnectcomputer to the hosts File at c:\windows\system 32\drivers\etc\hosts
* Running: ipconfig /flushdns
